The Committee of Chief Information Security Officers of Nigerian Financial Institutions (CCISONFI), was formed under the guidelines of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on January 03, 2019. The committee consists of CISOs from Deposit Money Bank (DMB) and Payment Service Provider (PSP). The present committee is chaired by Mr. Abumere Igboa, CISO Stanbic IBTC Bank and have around 100 plus members including 6 members Exco Committee, elected from the members.

The committee is tasked with overseeing the Information and Cyber security initiatives and well-being of the Financial eco system in Nigeria. The committee provides guidance and advisory services related to the Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Awareness and Information Security across the Nigerian Financial Eco system.

CCISONFI is organising a 3day virtual conference from 5th – 7th August 2020 for CISOs from all deposit money banks, payments service providers, the interbank settlement service, and the central bank of Nigeria.
